Hello, I'm Craig.
Trying to stick the stuff in my head into code.
I am always trying to learn the next big thing!
Every family has one, a kid with natural technical ability. It also dooms that child always to fix every member of the family's computer problems. That was me. I was that kid that saved every penny of newspaper delivery money to buy a computer. But with that computer, I made my first program. Sure, it was a simple dice-rolling script, but it taught me the hidden power of computers, and code was its controller.
Meet me, Craig, a 23-year-old full-stack engineer passionate about technology, family, and the great outdoors. I live in Utah with my wife and three kids, where I enjoy spending my free time fishing in the mountains and biking through scenic places.
My love for technology began early in life, leading me to pursue a Bachelor's degree in software development. Later, I earned a Master's degree in cybersecurity and information assurance, which has helped me further advance my career.
When I am not busy with work, I like to attend church and read books by Brandon Sanderson. I also enjoy working in my yard and having dinner with my friends.
My professional journey began as a warehouse employee at the Bountiful Utah Costco. I split my time between work, family, and school. I eventually completed my degree, completed an internship for a web development company, and finally continued my work for Costco moving to their corporate offices in Seattle, WA. I am also currently the Technology Specialist for my church, responsible for managing and maintaining the church's technology infrastructure.
I work on the Platforms Team as a Dev Ops Release Manager for Costco Wholesale in Seattle, WA. Although my team is primarily remote, I work from my basement in Utah and occasionally fly into the corporate offices to complete my tasks. My expertise in full-stack engineering and cybersecurity has proven to be a valuable asset to my team.
